Intandem Credit Union and its members are making a difference this winter by helping students in the Grand Rapids Public School (GRPS) system stay warm. Thanks to the generosity of the credit union’s membership, over $2,250 was raised to support a community coat drive, providing new winter coats to children in need
This year’s coat drive was organized in collaboration with Sherri Lynn Noe, a dedicated community advocate connected with GRPS. Sherri, along with a team of volunteers, will assist in distributing the winter apparel.
“Santa came early for me today! A HUGE THANK YOU to Intandem Credit Union for their amazing gift of $2,250 for me to spend on winter apparel for GRPS!” said Sherri. “What an incredible blessing!”
Sherri’s ongoing efforts to secure resources for GRPS students have been instrumental in making this initiative a success, further supporting children in the Kent County area.
“Sherri is running a real grass-roots effort to get gear directly to the kids in our community that need it, and we are proud to provide a pathway for contributions. Our members stepped up in a huge way for the kids of GRPS,” said Kristen Plichta, CEO of Intandem Credit Union.
The coats will be distributed through the GRPS system, reaching students identified as needing assistance. Through this partnership with Sherri, Intandem Credit Union has ensured the donations will have a meaningful impact on children and families within the local community.
This coat drive reflects the positive impact that can be achieved when the credit union and its members work together to support their community. Intandem Credit Union remains committed to giving back and fostering initiatives that enhance the lives of its neighbors.
