January marks another milestone in our journey and commitment to our mission. “We strive to exceed expectations in every interaction and inspire our neighbors to achieve financial stability and success.”
Intandem was founded in 1956.
We continue with a member focused approach, to assist and support our members with helpful products and services tailored to serving their unique needs. There have been many strides in recent years with growth and expansion of the credit union. We opened the doors to our new standalone building in Cedar Springs in the fall of 2021. From there we opened our charter from only serving Kent County and added 13 new counties. These new counties include Mason, Lake, Osceola, Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Muskegon, Montcalm, Kent, Ottawa, Ionia, Allegan, Barry, and Eaton. As we entered 2023, we started offering an Online Membership Opening option to make it easier for our members to join. Now into 2024, our goal is to further expand our financial education, competitive loan rates, and look for new innovative way to show support our members.
We continue to help the communities we serve in.
We offer donation opportunities for our members and our Intandem team to make contributions to local organizations that help support local communities. Every year, the Intandem team supports Helen Devos Children’s Hospital by donating in exchange to wear jeans on Friday. The team also runs a candy fundraiser to raise funds for Michigan Veterans Home of Grand Rapids, and the Kent County Animal Shelter. We also work to raise funds for various local charities throughout the holiday season to help those in need and bring some relief with assistance for presents or winter gear needs. We have a social responsibility to support our community as a whole, and we believe true success can be measured by the support of our members and the Intandem team.
As we enter 2024, we will proceed with looking for new ideas to grow and find opportunities for new products, increase our member satisfaction, and keep our commitment to community engagement. This new year is a reminder to stay focused on our vision as we look to improve the lives of our neighbors and strengthen the communities we serve. Cheers to our members and our team on 68 years! May our continued success look forward with new ideas and products so we can continue to financially support our members as they look to us for solutions and guidance.
